In the depths of winter, a wounded dog lay trembling in the snow, his life slowly slipping away. For days, he had been crying out in pain, but no one stopped to help.

When rescuers finally found him, his injuries were severe – a shattered sacrum, pneumothorax, and complete inability to move his back legs.

The Race Against Time

Despite his terrible condition, Buddy showed an incredible will to live. He ate well and responded to gentle care, though he remained unable to stand or control his body.

The rescue team knew they needed specialized help fast. They rushed him to Vladivostok for critical neurological evaluation and CT scans.

The surgery was complex but successful, focusing on freeing Buddy’s damaged spinal cord. Thanks to the skilled hands of doctors Stanislav and Yulia, Buddy had a fighting chance.

Recovery was slow and uncertain at first. Buddy spent his days lying quietly, his eyes filled with both trust and uncertainty.

But then, just one week after surgery, something amazing happened – Buddy stood up on his own and took his first steps toward his food bowl.
